Science club has been up and running for Key Stage 1 for a few weeks now and the children are loving getting stuck into some fun, hands-on science experiments.

We have made clouds and looked at how they become heavier and heavier before they burst, covering the ground below with rain; we have played with static electricity and talked about how it works, and we have made our own volcanoes, creating a chemical reaction which caused them to erupt. There were lots of ‘Ooohs’ and ‘Aaahs’ and the children loved learning about the difference between magma, before the volcano erupts, and lava, as it bursts out. The children have been fabulous, they’ve listened really well, been sensible and careful scientists and bee a real credit to themselves.

Well done guys!
