On Thursday, 6th October, a group of children from Key Stage 2 had the opportunity to take part in the Gateshead Schools Cross Country Competition at Watergate Forest Park. Three children from each of years 3, 4, 5 and 6 competed over a long distance course against many other children from Gateshead schools.

They took part in one race each over a mile or a mile and a half against roughly 150 other children. The children were, as ever, a phenomenal advert for Bede and all that makes us so proud to work with them. They were positive, supportive and showed real pride in representing the Bede. Their attitudes,  resilience and determination were second to  none; even when they  found it tough, they kept going and every single person completed the race.

They might not have won but they are certainly superstars in our eyes!
