As part of our commitment to Design Technology, our school took part in the Day to Create competition, run by Artsmark.

Everyone had fun thinking up ideas for what we might make our lives better and easier; what could do with being improved and how we might make it happen. After lots of discussion, the children drew their designs and explained them to their classmates. The children were divided into teams based on our super learning powers, just like on Sports Day, and eventually the designs thought best from each of the four groups in class were put forward to be judged. Mrs Lewis, our DT lead, studied them closely and eventually decided on three individual winners :

– Olivia from class 1 and her fruit hairband
– Maryam from class 3, who designed a kid helper
– Alex from class 5 , who designed a very well thought out service watch

Across school, the most inventive group came out as the Cooperative Cats! Well done to them all.
