Video & Animation Club – Spring ’24

This half-term, our teams of animators and directors have been hard at work in our weekly Animation & Video sessions. They have come up with their own ideas, storyboarded the scenes they wish to create and then worked hard to film and animate all the different aspects of their designs. After several weeks of recording, animating and editing (and a little help with music & credits from Mr. White) their designs are finished.

Go ‘Ballistic Bede’!

Our VEX IQ team, Ballistic Bede, attended their first regional competition event on Monday 15th January at Nissan. Our six, year five members worked with perseverance to build and programme their robot Vexy to compete in Full Volume (a world wide robot competition game for children aged between 10-16).

At the event, the team passed the robot inspection with flying colours, were interviewed by the Nissan judges on their design and engineering process and worked with other teams in alliance matches. Our team members were confident, positive and incredibly supportive of each other and other teams. We were incredibly proud of them!

VEX Robotics Club

Mr. Wright’s VEX Robotics Club has proven to be a huge hit with the Class 5 children this term. The children have worked together to plan, design, build and test a VEX robot to complete specific tasks. They are even hoping to enter into (and win) the Vex Robotics competition!
