Our school has been honoured to host Science Buddies afterschool clubs. They have been delivered by a local group who focus on providing inspiring and exciting, skill-based STEM workshops for children.

Our latest club began with a blast when we learned about expanding gases in enclosed spaces! In the photos, you can see we concentrated on naming and using scientific equipment correctly before carrying out a weather experiment. We persevered to control the amount of water we released or collected in syringes and pipettes, then accurately read the scales on measuring cylinders and beakers.

In other sessions we have combined chemicals, built rockets and mixed slime, all while developing scientific, critical thinking and cooperation skills! If you wish to take part, look out for the science buddies club emails across the school year!
