In Year 3, the children have been learning about digital devices, connections and becoming robot designers.

To begin with, we looked at how we have our own connections with the people in our lives and how we can’t always see the connections, but we know they are there. From here, we looked at how digital devices can have connections, some of which we can see, and how inputs and outputs can be used with computers to complete specific tasks. We then researched robots, how they worked and the specific tasks that they could do.

With this information, we were then able to begin designing our own wonderful robots on paper, before improving them using digital apps to create a poster. Finally, we presented our fantastic work to the class and we helped each other evaluate our work so we could make it even better next time. Look out for our robots in your living room in the future!
