A Fantastic Final Half-Term

Reception have had a wonderful final half-term, filled with exciting learning, creativity and new experiences.

In Literacy, we have been developing our storytelling skills by becoming confident verbal storytellers. The children have enjoyed creating and retelling their own stories, carefully thinking about a clear beginning, middle and end.

As part of our work around What the Ladybird Heard, we enjoyed a fantastic visit to Bill Quay Farm, where the children brought the story to life by meeting the farm animals and exploring the setting that inspired our learning.

During Forest School, Reception worked brilliantly together to design and build a natural rollercoaster using resources they found outdoors. This collaborative project formed part of our whole-school art and kindness project, encouraging teamwork, creativity and problem-solving.

We were also delighted to welcome our families into school for our Stay and Play sessions. It was wonderful to share our learning together and celebrate the children's achievements.

Class Rec Sum 2 26

As the year draws to a close, we have been preparing for the exciting next step in our learning journey as we get ready to move into Class 1. We are incredibly proud of everything the children have achieved this year and wish them every success as they begin their next adventure.
