Castles & Knights

This half term, we have started our new topic of Castles and Knights! We have been learning about different types of castles and the features they have. We went on a trip to Castle Keep in Newcastle and were amazed how far we could see from the battlements.

We have also been taking part in Forest School sessions where we have investigated nature using our senses, made dens and have even learnt how to use a clove hitch knot to move a large log!

In music we have been learning about the different notes and how they go together to create pieces of music. Together, using the Boomwhackers, we played Hakuna Matata from ttthe Lion King.

To finish off this half term we have taken part in an art project with students from Northumbia univerity all about community. We loved creating a map and adding in parts of the community that are special to us.
